ISSUANCE OF GUIDANCE NOTES

On the 31st of January 2022, the Guyana Gaming Authority issued a comprehensive document that is intended to be used by Reporting Entities as a guide when conducting risk assessments of their products and/or services.

Reporting Entities are required under section 19(e) of the Anti-money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Act Cap 10:11 as amended, to conduct risk assessments on their products and services before marketing those products and services in Guyana.

The Guyana Gaming Authority has published these guidance notes as part of its supervisory role to ensure that Reporting Entities have a document outlining the general ideas for conducting a Risk Assessment.
