CASINO PREMISES LICENCE APPLICATION
A company proposing to establish and operate a land-based Casino in Guyana shall be required to submit a formal application for a combination of a Casino Premises and Operator’s Licenses to the Chairman of the Gaming Authority.
Under the Laws of Guyana Chapter 9:02 gambling Prevention Act (Establishment of Gaming Authority) Regulation, the Gaming Authority in granting a Casino Premises License to casinos must determine whether or not the premises satisfy the minimum requirements for granting the same.
GUIDELINES ON THE PREMISES REQUIREMENTS
The Premises must be specifically approved by the Board before use and comply with the following standards:
1. The Premises shall be situated only in a City, Municipality or Town Council
2. Be of a minimum size of 7000 square foot;
3. The hotel must have a minimum of 150 rooms
4. The structure must be permanent;
5. It must be away from a School, a Hospital, a Market, a place of Worship or Government offices;
6. Have accessible facilities of convenience and a common area for clients;
7. Adequate and secure private parking for customers of the casino.
Casino Premises License: authorizes a Casino operator to use a venue and its facilities to carry on permissible gambling activities.

Documents to submit to Gaming Authority: the list of documents includes the completed application form along with the requirements listed in Section 4 of the form.
Premises License cost: There are two fees: application and annual. The application fee of G$5,000,000 is paid when submitting the Casino Premises license application. The annual fee of G$4,000,000 is due on January 1st of each year.
Processing time: 90 - 180 days
Validity period: ten years
